Homeschooling Online - The Waldorf Method

Rudolf Steiner popularized a liberal arts education curricula in Europe in the late 19tand early 20th centuries. It was called The Waldorf Method.

The Waldorf Method is a holistic approach to education, focusing on the union of body, mind, and spirit. Subjects are taught in relation to each other rather than as separate disciplines. Textbooks are rarely used and then only for older children. Moral qualities are stressed throughout childhood in subtle ways rather than as strict dogmas. Rather than instill memorization and head knowledge in the early years, The Waldorf Method uses experiences and hands-on activities to teach every day lessons.
