Homeschooling Online - Where Should Learning Take Place?

True education begins at home, but it doesn’t end there. In face, a proper education can - and should - take place where ever you and your children go. To church, the grocery store, the zoo, on a picnic, to the neighbor’s house, your cousin Bob’s over the weekend, on the family camping trip, you get the idea. Learning is a lifelong adventure and a continuous activity. That’s why the term “homeschooling” is a little bit of a misnomer and somewhat misleading.

Unlike public schools, home schools focus on the entire person. In public school, your children are not likely to get religious training. At home, however, there is no administrator, or government official, and certainly no other parents, to object when you mention God, Allah, or Jehovah. You are free to teach your child anything you want about your personal values and family traditions. Add to that instruction, lessons in civics, logic, creativity, spelling, math, science, technology, business, economics, and even some sports training, then you’ve got the essence of homeschool. It’s not about what you learn; it’s about how you learn.
